Dr. Ajsa Nikolic, M.D. - Medical Director |
 |
Dr. Nikolic lived in New Orleans as a child, but attended High School at the American International School in Vienna, Austria. She attended college at the University of Vienna. Dr. Nikolic then went to the University of Vienna Medical School, finishing in 2000.
Dr. Nikolic's residency training was done at East Jefferson General Hospital. She completed her Family Practice Residency in 2004. She has worked at East Jefferson After Hours in Kenner (where she was medical director from 2005-2007) and Metairie, Doctor's Urgent Care in Slidell, Lake After Hours in Baton Rouge, and East Jefferson Occupational Medicine in Kenner, LA since completion of her residency. She has also worked as an Emergency Room Physician since Katrina at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and at Northshore Regional Medical Center, Slidell.
Dr. Nikolic is board certified in both Family Practice and Urgent Care.

Dr. Andre Viator MD - |

Dr. Andre’ Viator is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana. He received his medical degree in 2005 from Tulane Medical Health Science Center. After which, he was displaced by Hurricane Katrina to Lafayette Louisiana. During this time, he worked as staff with The Schumacher Emergency Medicine Group and became staff at Lafayette General’s Urgent Care Facility. His love of the New Orleans culture has brought him back to the city. He is enthusiastic to dedicate his vocation to the mission statement of New Orleans Urgent Care, “To provide time efficient, cost effective, quality medical care to our community”. |

Dr. Kevin Lindsey MD - Staff Physician |

Dr. Kevin Lindsey has been a practicing physician since 1986. He was born on the Westbank of New Orleans and, despite many hurricanes, has remained in the city ever since. Dr. Lindsey is an avid fisherman and hunter. He started in the urgent care scene and has found his way back to it yet again. He has owned a private practice and worked at numerous clinics including Loyola Student Health but he remains enthralled by the fast pace efficiency of New Orleans Urgent Care. |

Jenny Marino - Clinic Supervisor/Xray Tech |

Jennifer Marino is originally from LaPlace, LA. She received her Radiologic Technologist degree from Delgado in 2004. Since then she has worked in Urgent Care Facilities. Her biggest challenge was restarting a clinic in the aftermath of Katrina. Her responsibilities included staffing and ordering supplies as well as patient care. |

Valerie James - Xray Tech |

Valerie James recently graduated from Delgado University getting her certification in radiologic technology. She is a native of New Orleans, who started her career as an office manager for a periodontist and decided to go back to school to further her education in 2003. Although Hurricane Katrina disrupted most of her studies, she managed to graduate top of her class in 2007. Valerie started with New Orleans Urgent care immediately after graduating and she enjoys the fast paced and patient oriented medical services offered here. |

Alicia Buras - Front Desk |

Alicia Buras rediscovered her love for healthcare after Hurricane Katrina devastated her family home and affected the lives of many innocent people in her neighborhood. Despite the fact that many of her close friends left New Orleans, Alicia decided to go back to school to pursue her allied health degree and help rebuild the city she loves. |

Gianna "Gigi" Scazzafavo - Medical Assistant |

Gianna “Gigi” Scazzafavo was born in Pennsylvania but was raised in the New Orleans area from the age of two. She has always known exactly what she wanted to do with her life and has worked in the medical field, towards that goal, since she was 16. Gigi earned her CNA certificate while still attending high school. She has worked at urgent care offices and emergency rooms on the north shore prior to coming to New Orleans Urgent Care. Gigi is currently attending Delgado Charity School of Nursing as well. |

Kellie Sanchez is currently in school studying to become a Registered Nurse. She has always had a love for caring for others. Before working at New Orleans Urgent Care she was employed at LSU Hospital’s Cancer Center. Kellie enjoys the fast pace environment of urgent cares. After finishing school Kellie plans on working in an emergency room or OBGYN. In her free time, Kellie takes pleasure in spending time with family and friends. |

Erin Hewitt recently graduated from Herzing College with an Associate’s degree in Science for Medical Assisting. She has always had a passion for helping others, especially children, and knew a career in the medical field would help to realize that goal. New Orleans Urgent Care is her first employment into the medical field but it definitely won’t be her last. Erin plans to go to medical school and become a pediatrician in the near future as well. |

Devin Ernest is currently enrolled at Delgado as a full time student, working towards her nursing degree. She is originally from Gentilly and graduated from McDonogh 35. Devins goal is to get as much experience outside of school to help her become a first class nurse and understand all aspects of healthcare. She also works at the New Orleans Opera, bringing culture back to her city. |

Alice Givens was born in Independence, LA and raised in New Orleans. She graduated from Kenner Regional Vo-Tech with a degree in CNA and MA. She has 4 children; 2 boys 1 girl and 1 dog. She works at EJ during the week in occupational health and here at NOUC on the weekends as an MA. She supports her entire family, hates the current gas prices, wants a 4 cylinder car. |

Candis DiGiovanni - Xray Technician |

Candis DiGiovanni graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology in 2006. She also trained at Ochsner Clinic Foundation where she received a certificate in her degree. She was selected student tech of the year. Candis currently works the weekend shift here at New Orleans Urgent Care and is a full-time mother and wife.
